There are countless opportunities to get involved. You may contact the Temple Office for opportunities to get involved in Temple life and you can sign up to volunteer right here on the Temple Website!
Upcoming events include:
This is Hunger on March 29th until April 1st
Participants are invited to sit at a communal table and virtually “meet” real people struggling with hunger. Portraits are projected at each end of the table, one by one, as individuals share their stories in their own voices and in their own words. This Is Hunger is open to the community and will be at our Temple from March 29th until April 1st.
We need people to welcome people to the truck. If you can volunteer for an hour or two that would be great! More info about the Truck you can go to this website www.thisishunger.org. If you have any questions please contact Amy Rollins or Rabbi Ethan Prosnit.
Earth Day Clean Up on Sunday, April 23rd
11:00 am to 12:30 pm
In honor of Earth Day, we hope you can join us in cleaning up the Rahway River through the wetlands and forests of Lenape Park. Please bring rain boots if you have them. Meet at Lenape Park (Nomahegan Drive entrance, after E. Broad ends).

Saturday Morning Fun Bunch with Refugee Families
How about trying something new by welcoming and helping some of our new brothers and sisters; mostly from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria? Be a part of this wonderful coalition of many local Houses of Worship! This will be two hours of enjoyable and rewarding fun! It’s happening at Temple Emanu-El 756 East Broad Street, Westfield.
From Sisterhood to Men's Club, from Chavurah to Youth Groups, Temple Emanu-El offers a myriad of choices to meet people, make new friends and connect with our Temple community. We truly have something for everyone! Our members enable us to sponsor enriching activities and programs by contributing their time and expertise. Working toward common goals builds lifelong friendships and transforms our “house” into a “home.”
