We have programs to suit children ages almost 2 to 7 years old. In order to ensure individual attention and safety of our campers, we offer small groups that are staffed with at least one certified Head Teacher, an Assistant Teacher with a Child Development Associate credential, and where appropriate, a high school or college student.
Campers are introduced to new skills, challenges, and friends while enjoying a full range of activities in sports, arts and crafts, nature, adventure, and water play. Most importantly, they have lots of FUN!
Temple Emanu-El’s Early Childhood Education Program is accredited by the National Association of the Education of the Young Child (NAEYC).

Nature Camp

Nature Camp is a fun experience that transforms campers (entering Kindergarten through 2nd grade) into mini scientists, explorers, and adventurers as they investigate the natural world in our new Outdoor Classroom.
Camp meets Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM (extended day options available) in 3, two-week sessions:
Mad Science
Does your camper love to mix things together to see what will happen or has a budding curiosity about how things work?  Using nature as the subject, we begin to make sense of the natural world through hands-on activities in our brand new outdoor classroom.
The Magic of the Forest
Invent epic stories of wonder, create magical villages, and let nature weave spells of enchantment. This session focuses on forest creatures (real and imaginary) and uses crafts, acting, and cooking to watch it all play out in our Outdoor Classroom.
Bugs and Butterflies
Through stories, games, exploration in our outdoor classroom and crafts, we find out fascinating facts about hoppers, climbers, crawlers, and flyers!
Nature Camp also includes water play and sprinkler time, as well as Shabbat celebrations.

Mini Camp

Mini Camp is a fun and flexible option for children in June when most day camps are not yet in session. Choose one or two weeks, or select specific days.
Meets Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM.
Camp days include:

  • Exciting weekly themes
  • Curriculum rich with messy art, cooking,
    science, and more!
  • Water play, sprinklers & playground
  • Outdoor Classroom nature exploration
