Licensed Social Worker On-Site
Temple Emanu-El adds a licensed social worker beginning May 4, 2009
Through a generous grant from the Jewish Federation of Central New Jersey, and in partnership with the Jewish Family Service, a licensed social worker will begin holding office hours at Temple Emanu-El.
Carol Einhorn, LCSW will be available on Mondays to assist individuals and families in a variety of ways:
Individual, Couple and Family Support
- How to talk with your children about your economic circumstances and what they should and shouldn’t know.
- Learn skills to help you strengthen family relationships as you navigate career changes.
- Figure out how to structure your time and your activities.
- Learn to find new solutions if the person who always went to work is now home.
Here are some ways in which we can be of help, but you know best what you need and we can help you do it:
Career Counseling
- Take a fresh look at your skills; find a new passion.
- Rewrite your resume to appeal to a variety of companies and organizations.
- Learn from a pro how to search effectively for a job using many resources.
- What are the Do’s and Don’ts of Networking.
- Bring your friends, share a cup of coffee and have a discussion about how to proceed with your job search and other issues of interest to you.
Financial Counseling
- Talk about how to create a family budget.
- Figure out what is truly necessary and what is a luxury.
- Learn to share the responsibility for financial management with all family members.
