Honor the Memory of the 6 Million on Yom HaShoah
Our Congregation will remember the 6 million Jews that were murdered in the Holocaust with a ceremony that will last the entire day. From 9 AM – 7 PM we continually recite names of Holocaust victims in front of our synagogue. Please sign up for a 15-minute time block to volunteer to read names or stop by throughout the day to remember and reflect on the atrocities of Holocaust. At 7:00 PM we will move into the sanctuary and have the opportunity to remember our own family members that were killed in the Holocaust.

During this year’s evening service at Temple Emanu-El Rabbi Appell will interview Keren Blankfeld, noted journalist and author of “Lovers in Auschwitz—A True Story, ” just released in January 2024.

Screening of Supernova for Yom HaZikaorn and Yom Haatzmaut
October 7, 2023, began like any ordinary day for concertgoers at the Nova Music Festival, located in Re’im, Israel. There were over 3,500 attendees from different countries at that week’s festivities, immersing themselves in days of bliss and endless dance parties. Out of nowhere, as the sun rose that early Shabbat morning, the world changed forever. What started out as missiles hitting Israel’s Iron Dome turned into Hamas terrorists infiltrating the area, shooting everyone in sight. What started out as a dance party, a place of comfort and simha, transformed into a bloodbath.
