An Evening with
Ari'el Stachel
Celebrating
Yom Ha'atzmaut
Wednesday, April 22 starting at 7:00 PM
On April 22nd Temple Emanu-El is thrilled to welcome
Tony and Grammy Award-winning Broadway actor
Ari’el Stachel
who will be presenting his critically acclaimed, autobiographical off-Broadway solo show —“Other” — that will soon - shhhh… be opening on Broadway!
In the most engaging, humorous, and vulnerable way, through a myriad of characters in his life, Ari shares his struggle with identity and anxiety growing up as a Yemeni-Israeli Ashkenazi-American Jew. Stachel might just break into song, sharing his soulful voice that earned him a Tony Award for best performance by an actor in a featured role in a musical (“The Band’s Visit”). Given the rise of Jew hatred and anti-Zionism in America and around the world today, his story hits home. We hope you will join us for this unique opportunity to celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut, lift up Jewish voices, and enjoy a fun night out with friends and our Temple Emanu-El community.
7:00 PM drinks and Israeli lite bites
7:30 PM show, followed by post-show Q&A
9:00 PM meet and greet with signing
*Kindly note that “Other” is appropriate for anyone 8th grade and older, due to explicit language.
