Donate Now
During the High Holy Days, we reflect on the people, places, and traditions that give our lives meaning—and how we can take part in strengthening our community this year as we honor the values that matter most to us.
Your donation to the 5787 Annual Appeal helps our Temple continue to grow. Dues cover just 35% of the cost of the exceptional programs, top-tier educational experiences, meaningful worship, and powerful events that we offer. Temple Emanu-El would not be able to thrive without the generous philanthropy of our members. Thank you for making a difference for our community this year!
Together, we are ensuring that Temple Emanu-El continues to be a place where individuals and families can learn, grow, and find a true sense of belonging.

TAX-SMART OPTIONS FOR MAKING A DONATION
Make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) From Your IRA
If you are 70 ½ years old, you can donate up to $111,000 as a QCD from your IRA per individual (or $222,000 for married couples filing jointly). This satisfies your Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) without adding to your taxable income (thus lowering your tax burden)—offering you financial benefit while making a positive impact on Temple Emanu-El.
QCDs can be made from a rollover IRA, an inherited IRA, a traditional IRA, and other types of retirement accounts. For more information, contact Carolyn Starke at 908-858-6197.
Donate Appreciated Securities
By transferring appreciated stock directly to the Temple, you pay zero capital gains tax on the growth while still claiming a charitable income tax deduction for the full fair market value of the asset. This is a significant financial benefit to you while also benefitting our Temple. For more information, contact Carolyn Starke at 908-858-6197.
Donate From Your Donor-Advised Fund
