We’re bringing The Challah Prince to Temple Emanu-El for Yom Ha’atzmaut! Join us for a hands-on 2 hour challah braiding workshop where you’ll learn from the Challah Prince, Idan Chabasov, himself and take home your own beautifully braided challah.
Challah is more than just bread—it’s tradition, community, and a way to bring creativity into our kitchens. And no one embodies that more than Idan Chabasov, better known as The Challah Prince. With his stunning challah designs and mindful approach to baking, Idan has captivated a global audience, showing us that baking challah is not just about technique—it’s about joy, connection, and artistry.
Originally from Tel Aviv, Idan’s background in dance, video production, and PR led him to a surprising new passion: challah. What started as a spontaneous creative project in 2020 quickly grew into a worldwide community of bakers, artists, and food lovers. Through his Instagram, @challahprince, he shares breathtaking braided loaves, step-by-step tutorials, and reminders to be present in the process.
Now, we’re bringing The Challah Prince to Temple Emanu-El for Yom Ha’atzmaut! Join us for a hands-on challah braiding workshop where you’ll learn from Idan himself and take home your own beautifully braided challah.
This event is open to the community and is geared toward adults and older children ages 12 and up. Please note that Idan’s presentation will include content about October 7.
We can’t wait to welcome you for this special, meaningful experience!

About Idan Chabasov
Born and raised in Tel Aviv. Idan Chabasov (38) has always been an artist. With a background in professional dancing, video production, and art, now Idan’s mission is to bring art into the baking world and demonstrate the beauty of every piece of Challah.
One evening in January 2020, when he still lived in Berlin, After a breathing and meditation session, Chabasov spontaneously created the “Challah Prince.” He discovered a world of beauty, spirituality, and personal growth through the Challah. And what started as a small Instagram account soon became an ever-growing community of art, creativity, positivity, and deliciousness.
Idan has been dedicating himself to this community - sharing his creations and unique ways of braiding the dough and personally communicating with all his community members. The Challah Prince is well on his way to spreading this delicious masterpiece to every corner of the world.
These days, Idan lives in Israel and just finished his studies as a Rebirthing therapist. His vision is to expand people's personal awareness and consciousness through meditation, breath, and challah.
