Women’s Leadership in

Israel’s National Security

Thursday, January 22 at 7:00 PM

Please join us for a timely conversation with Colonel Nira Shpak, a longtime resident of Kfar Aza, member of Forum Dvorah, and one of Israel’s most distinguished security and public service leaders. Col. Shpak was in Kfar Aza on October 7 and will share her firsthand experience of that day, reflecting on its personal, communal, and national impact, as well as the ongoing war in Israel.

Drawing on decades of groundbreaking service in the Israel Defense Forces, the Ministry of Defense, and the Knesset, Col. Shpak will also discuss the evolving role of women in Israel’s national security and foreign policy. Her insights highlight why women’s leadership is not only a matter of equality, but a strategic necessity for resilience and effective decision-making.

This conversation offers a rare opportunity to hear directly from a leader who has served on the front lines of security, governance, and civilian courage. We hope you will join us for this meaningful discussion and engage with perspectives that are shaping Israel’s present and future.
