Anschel
The True Story of an 11 Year Old Boy
and his Survival During the Holocaust
Wednesday, April 29 at 6:30 PM
An 11-year-old boy when German Soldiers over-ran Poland in 1939, Anschel was a Polish Jew who was clever beyond his years. Time after time, year after year, when captured by Nazi Soldiers and armed SS guards, he escaped and escaped, and escaped. At the end of the war, he was a teenager and the only one of his family to survive the Holocaust. This is his story. ANSCHEL is an adaptation of the Holocaust memoir, Anschel’s Story by Renate Frydman, PhD. Running time is about 60 minutes, followed by a brief Q&A.
